		<description>Hi there,

BANANAMAN RETURNS IN &#039;CHARMING&#039; BID TO FIGHT BLOOD CANCER

Bananaman, comic superhero and 80s TV star, has returned - but this time he’s fighting against blood cancers, which affect 1 in 25 of the UK’s population.

Ever alert for the call to action, Bananaman is asking UK shoppers to help Leukaemia Research beat blood cancers in their latest ‘ap-peel’ by visiting their local Argos store and buying a Bananaman Charm for a donation of £1.

Leukaemia Research is Argos’ charity partner and together they have raised almost £500,000, smashing the original target of £400,000 halfway through their year-long partnership.

Bananaman Charms are available in Argos stores from February to April and there are three to collect, which can be attached to mobile phones, bags and zips as a quirky accessory.

Each ‘charm’ also includes a banana-themed booklet with details on how to join the Banana Army, Leukaemia Research’s sports team, and take part in the largest charity programme of running, triathlon and cycling events for all ages and abilities. The Banana Army is named after their bright yellow T-shirts that stand out in a crowd - just like Bananaman!
