Firstly, thank you to everyone who voted in our first Saturday Survey. We had 19 votes in all, and the winning answer to the question “Who was your favourite Scooby Doo character?“ was…
 …Scooby Doo!
Scooby scooped nearly 39% of the votes (7 in total), with Shaggy not far behind on 5 votes. Poor old Fred was the only one not to get a single vote, and shame on you the 2 people who voted for Scrappy Doo.
Anyway, to this weeks survey. We want to know which 8-bit computer your family had. Note we’re after 8-bit home computers, so the Amiga and Atari ST don’t count, and nor do game consoles like the NES or Master System – we’ll do those another time. Vote away!

I got my first Spectrum….. 24 years ago tomorrow. I went through a succesion of 48 rubber keys before it got upgraded to a plus, then a 128 which is still sitting in my loft joined by an older 48 and +3
Big Ultimate man me – Atic Attack & Sabre Wulf, but also Jet Set Willy, Head Over Heels and Brian Bloodaxe
Ah, the rubber keys of doom. Pressing ‘J’ to enter ‘Load’ always made me laugh, and working out which combination of shift keys to press to enter SGN() was quite confusing.
I was a C64 man myself, and therefore had to type everything properly, although I could press shift and run stop to load a game!
Another Speccy fan here, first was 16K, then 48 before getting a 128K powerful beast.
I’m with Philip, Ultimate were THE games company, loved the 3D stuff like Knight Lore (I think) and that Space one.
