I thought it would be interesting this week to find out how many of the readers of this site actually were Children of the 1980’s. Â I’m suspecting quite a few will be, but I’d love to know how many of you are older or weren’t even around during this greatest of all the decades – well, I think so anyway.
Whether you feel the same or not, please leave a comment on this post to share with us all about your thoughts and memories about the 1980s. Â It’s really easy, just click the comments link at the bottom of this post and fill in the boxes…

I was born in October 1979, so I’m a small child of the ’80’s. My teenage years didn’t come along till the ‘ 90’s.
I was born 73 so I suppose I count as a child in the 80s. Well only if you do too chief !
I was born in 1972, so I entered the 1980s as an eight year old and went on to spend my tweens and teens there.
I think a good test of your childhood memories (at least in the UK) is which Blue Peter team were the most memorable. I think I’ll go for the Simon Green, Peter Duncan and Sarah Greene lineup.
Oops, Simon Groom.
I was also born in ’73. Somtimes I wish I was a little older – I watched “I Love The 1980’s” a few years back, and realised how much I missed out on! But the 80’s as a decade was totally rad!
Yeah, I was born in 1973 so I count myself as a Child of the 1980’s. I think anyone who was alive and under 18 at any point in the eighties can claim to be one!
I agree Mark, with the Blue Peter presenter team, and I’d go for almost the same line up you suggested, though I’d probably swap Janet Ellis for Sarah Greene.
Speaking of Blue Peter, here are a couple of links to previous Blue Peter posts I’ve made on this very site, in case you may have missed them…

Janet Ellis BP Team: Here, here – better than Sarah Greene. Though I’m old enough to remember Judd/Purvis/Noakes and that was class
i was born in november 1980 so i am definately a child of the 1980’s! and proud tehe
Hi Rachel! You definitely qualify then, and technically probably more so than me given I wasn’t actually born during the decade.
I was born in 1967…..so I was more a teenager of the 80’s :0s ….still cool to read about things I had forgotten though :0)
