One of the most popular categories on Child of the 1980’s is the Sweets and Snacks section. I have written about many old confectionary items which are sadly no longer available but which people would love to see brought back. Many of these even have online petitions set up for them to try and persuade the relevant manufacturers to bring them back.
Here are a few examples to whet your appetite:
Now that you’re hopefully licking your lips let me give you this question to ponder. If you had the power to bring back one old sweetie, which one would it be? I’ve started the list below with the examples above, but feel free to add your own ideas and also leave us a comment on why you would pick a particular sweet.

Wow, there sure is some demand for Trio’s it would seem. And why not, they were great!
I remember Spangles being relaunched in Woolworths sometime in the nineties, but sadly no one must have bought them because they didn’t last long. Mind you, I think they were only Spangles in name, as I don’t think they had that classic dip in the middle that the original Spangles had.
Proving a popular survey it would seem!
