One of the most popular categories on Child of the 1980’s is the Sweets and Snacks section. Â I have written about many old confectionary items which are sadly no longer available but which people would love to see brought back. Â Many of these even have online petitions set up for them to try and persuade the relevant manufacturers to bring them back.
Here are a few examples to whet your appetite:
Now that you’re hopefully licking your lips let me give you this question to ponder. Â If you had the power to bring back one old sweetie, which one would it be? Â I’ve started the list below with the examples above, but feel free to add your own ideas and also leave us a comment on why you would pick a particular sweet.

I went for Trio, thinking nobody would pick it, but well….
Wow, there sure is some demand for Trio’s it would seem. And why not, they were great!
I remember Spangles being relaunched in Woolworths sometime in the nineties, but sadly no one must have bought them because they didn’t last long. Mind you, I think they were only Spangles in name, as I don’t think they had that classic dip in the middle that the original Spangles had.
