Bod may have been a product of the seventies but it was still a big favourite during the eighties. It may have been a simply drawn cartoon, but it holds a special place in many of our hearts for it’s stories, the voice work of John Le Mesurier and the excellent little theme songs for each of the characters.
For this survey I want to know which of the Bod characters is your favourite, whether it be for their looks, what they were like or even just their signature tune.
Which of the Bod characters did you like best?

What would that be? Whistling all the theme songs, reciting the milkshake speech for Alberto Frog and his Amazing Animal Band, or being able to retract my legs directly into my body!
…or are you thinking of something else?

OK, Alberto and the band have just helped someone out and they want to thank them…
Person being helped: Ooh, thanks you very much. Is there anything I can do to repay you?
Alberto: I wouldn’t say no to a milkshake.
Person being helped: Certainly, what flavour would you like?
Narrator: What flavour milkshake do you think it will be?
Narrator: The mice think it will be strawberry.
Narrator: The lions think it will be chocolate.
Narrator: The monkeys think it will be banana.
Alberto: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, chocolate.
Narrator: The lions were right. Were you?

I think it changes. Sadly not all the Alberto frog survives, most of the episodes on the DVD are missing it and Bod snap.

Bod Snap! Alberto the Frog (always thought of this bit as ‘The Frog Orchestra’). I knew there was something missing from that old VHS copy I got from the library!
