Whether you love ‘em or hate ‘em, the Microwave Oven is without doubt one of the major innovations in cooking to have occured during the 20th century.
It brought us cooking at an amazing speed, but also brought us pale looking food and perhaps an over dependence on ready meals!

Oh how I wish we’d had one in halls at University.
Apparently the year before Founders had been outfitted with Microwaves in every kitchen. By the end of the year they’d all been half inched.
