I certainly do remember Muppet Babies. Used to watch that whilst eating breakfast on Saturday mornings.

It was quite a good cartoon actually. As I recall they used to do some quite good movie spoofs on it from time to time, the sort of thing intended for the parents which would go over the heads of most kids, yet they would still enjoy the story despite that.

That's true. I definitely remember the audience in the Muppet Theatre shouting "Why don't you get things started".

I should point out that there's several variants to the Muppet Show titles - possibly tieing in to which series of the program the episode is from..... there's one with some sudience participation, one with waldorf & statler singing and one with w&s saying something. And that's before you get to Gonzo and the trumpet which changes every week

I was never a huge fan of Sesame Street I must admit, but I've enjoyed everything else Henson related. I take it you won't be going to see the A Team film then Fletch? ;-)

Oh, and the captions on the first YouTube clip you posted are brilliant Philip.

I fear that I am gong to be in a minority of one here but I was never a fan of The Muppet show or really any of the Jim Henson stuff (Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, etc.). Obviously like anyone of my age, I know all about them and can hold my own in a conversation but they never appealed to me at all. Rather like the A-Team and many of those other Saturday teatime slots on ITV.
